Day 34 — Plan A, B and C?

Chapter summary

The ironclad heist begins: the crew sneaks aboard in barrels under invisibility, fights dragon marines and illusion traps to reach the elevator, and sends the B Team into the engine room — where chief engineer Wong pushes Himbothy into the fire, leaving him disfigured forever before Jimothy delivers the killing blow on Wong.

We start executing the plan. Ryuto is casting a water breathing scroll before the party starts.

We’re in barrels waiting to be taken into the ship, everything seems ordinary so far. We exit the barrels and take our invisibility potions. 10min counter start and we’re going to go to the loading dock.

We’ve been on this ship before and we know where things are. Kahu decides to use his detect magic and is aware that there’s magic in this area. There’s illusion magic afoot.

We’re surprised by traps at the exit. There are illusory snakes that attack us as we’re trying to exit the storage components. There’s a hissing sound down the corridor. Two marines approach us and we’ve met this kind of dragon officer before. They are not particularly strong soldiers but they have boomsticks.

We attack from invisibility with the effect of surprise on our side. They are brother and sister Dragon.

We continue on.

Potions – 3x each. Jiminy and Oona now only have one each after taking the extra.

We’re going from the cargo hold to the crew level. We detect another trap and go back to loot the bodies. It’s been 5 minutes in the cargo hold. We find a pebble. It feels magical, each has a pebble. We also take the fire sticks. Oona has 2 fire sticks.

We drink another round of potions. We’re making it to the elevator. We’re going to throw Big Tuna down the ship. It’s pretty dark but the deck is pretty well lit. We light the lantern and we wait 20min until we hear the whispers from the sea.

Ryuto casts Illusory objects to have more barrels as he lowers the elevators and obscures what he’s doing. We have 3 investigators that we need to kill quickly.

Kahu is attacking the incoming dragons with fire. Ryuto also contributes with his own fire. We are down to one invisibility potion.

Time for the B team:

Dr Jekyll casts water breathing on everyone before the fighting starts. Everyone takes one invisibility potion and goes off to fight.

Now there’s a melee happening as the soldiers come out and fight the troops that are streaming in. The B team and fire breathers go down to the engine room. So they can kill someone.

The B team is fighting the engine crew: 2 engineering constructs, 2 engineer dragons and 1 big dragon. The big dragon is chief engineer Wong. Wong is going after Talin who was revealed.

Engineer Wong pushes Himbothy into the fire, he starts melting. He is not longer a Himbo, he is a Deadpool. He’s been fire kissed.

Jimothy delivers the killing blow after Himbothy almost dies to the fire and is disfigured forever.
