Session notes

Pachinko goes to father Don Gregorio and he identifies that it’s the Blood Agu that affects foreigners. He knows of some cases that survive. We go and find queen Killipella. Oro is gone and queen Killipella is despondent and does not react to our talking. We offer our help but we also need to save our friend. Her daughter, Ranghi, says that she can help. We ask Ranghi if her mother is ok, she has never seen her mother like this. Oro has been captured alive but they’ve never seen anyone come back. We follow her hastily to the woods. Ranghi identifies a tree, the Zintrona and points us to it. We must take the bark and make a tea, normally the children get this disease early in life and it’s easier later. Ryuto realizes that the tree would be much more valuable as it is the disease that keeps foreigners away. Pachinko makes a bark implant for himself and becomes immune to the disease. Meanwhile, Ryuto brews the tea back at the village. Ryuto makes a very average tea.

Don Gregorio was ready with all the supplies so it’s only about feeding the tea to Punx. He is still unconscious but wakes up a little to say a few words. He is drowsy but recovering it seems.

Now we are set with the mission to save Oro. We’re ready to help and ask Ronghi to tell us what happened. She tells us that they only recently started attacking us and kidnapping people who strayed too far into shared territory. We don’t know what changed but maybe it’s because they think themselves strong after the King died. This time they attacked the village and targeted the children, including Oro who is only 12 years old. Ronghi is 15 and is already an adult. They know exactly where the Ronghi are but it’s not possible to attack as the village is well guarded by the natural features. The village is in a gorge and enclosed by two cliffs and a single entry with palisades.

Pachinko proposes a horse strategy, where we hide inside. But we need to make it more local like a snake of troy. This might not work so now we’re thinking about luring them on a hunt. But perhaps we can combine it. The team decides to lure some Boggarts out with the tools from the group but first we need to get the tools from the ship. Meanwhile, the crafters of the town will be working on a wooden snake as a backup.
