Ryuto and Pachinko interrogate Ziggy. Ryuto is being the nice cop and asking him nicely about the state of St Sebastian. Ziggy says that St Sebastian was suffering from landloverness and having the worst sea sickness he had seen. Ziggy says he gave the same food as all the high ranking people in the ship. Ryuto asks if there was someone who could have interfered with the food. Ziggy is offended and asks if he’s being accused of anything. Ryuto reassures him that he is just asking questions. Ziggy is startled by a crazed Pachinko who is threatening him and playing the bad cop. Ziggy is scared and starts talking, he says that other crew members were saying that this was a stupid mission and we shouldn’t be escorting the migrant people. The crew says all the people in charge are a bunch of imbeciles. Pachinko gives Ziggy a threatening hug and then walks away to make sure the scare sinks in. Ryuto comes back in to reassure Ziggy. Ziggy is not even sure if St Sebastian ate anything, everything always came up.

We think he was really sea sick. Ryuto is unsure and thinks someone used Ziggy to poison the Saint. There’s a discussion but we ultimately don’t know. Stoa, the competent assistant, asks us what we want to do.

Oona proposes gathering the crew to democratize the choice of what to do next, Pachinko wants to bribe everyone. Punx says that we should put this off and go after Don Gregorio. Ryuto says we need to control the rumors. Another option is to spread rumors about what happened. We don’t wanna tell the truth to avoid creating war and chaos, although we’re not sure that’s what will happen.

Stoa clarifies a few things:

The murderer came in the delegation of the diplomatic envoy.
- Incompetence in government could be a trigger for an invasion
The religious group will not take kindly of having another diplomatic emissary dead

The boggarts have a history of killing people so it’s a good idea. Stoa comes up with a great idea:

Goda wanted to elope with Minnie and poisoned the ship to achieve that.
We pursued Goda thinking he was going to sell state secrets so we aggressively shot warning shots.
Unfortunately, Minnie perished in the pursuit.

Punx is conflicted about pinning this on the Boggarts. They are innocent on this matter and we shouldn’t condemn them about something they were not part of. Oona explains everything to the contessa but the contessa is uninterested in the matter. Contessa suspected Goda and Minnie about their love, but it was totally fine.

Captain Jackdoe warns us that all sailors will speak at some point so he will have to secure them in place so they don’t talk. We offer to give them an extra bonus to stay on the ship and not talk to anyone while we’re in the isles. They are given 4 gold each to stay on the ship.

Pachinko went to Ziggy to personally give him the gold and tell him that sometimes things get stressful and crazy and that’s why he was crazy before.

We have finally arrived on shore with the rest of the migrant fleet. We’ll take the small boat. We are unsure about what to do with St Sebastian’s body. Pachinko tells Ziggy to keep an eye on the door of the hold where we’ve decided to store St Sebastian’s body which has been salted and wrapped in cloth.

The King Admiral gathers the leaders of the expedition, in this case, it’s Oona representing us. Oona is being asked about our ship troubles. Oona says that just some trouble, nothing we couldn’t handle. The migrant fleet is happy to trade with us as they have all kinds of odds and ends. The King Admiral dismisses all the escorts and lets them go wherever they want now.

We’re released to explore the island, we paddle for one day against the current to arrive at Gloombark, the village of chieftain Killipella. The village is happy to have us back. They greet us with a hearty welcome. They’re surprised to see us so soon.

Pachinko introduces Contessa Palchia to the Chieftess. The chieftess is not thrilled but is polite and welcoming. They will house and provide a feast tonight. Ranghi and Oro are jumping around us and happy to welcome us. Punx is happy to see new faces and old faces. We have a few hours before the feast.

We talk to Ranghi and Oro and tell them our recent adventures since leaving the island. They are seduced by life in the sea.

Ryuto greets Don Gregorio and offers him tea. Don G is happy. Oona checks how he is feeling, he is still achy and feeling old. He possibly suffers from gout. Punx wants to speak somewhere private while Pachinko was showing himself off. Ryuto brews some tea. Don G drinks but does not think it’s as good as master Punx’. It is still the best tea he has drank in recent history. Punx is breaking the bad news that we don’t only come to bring the Contessa. Ryuto mentions that we’re curious about his deviant teachings. Don gregorio is happy to hear we’re interested but is not happy to hear when Punx mentions we came with St Sebastian. Ryuto tells him St Sebastian is salted and wrapped. Oona tries to distract and ask why Don G is so afraid. Don G is afraid because the priests can be very stern and discipline others. Ryuto tells him that he is in a body bag. Everyone is shocked about this revelation. Don Gregorio is worried that he will be very angry when he comes back. The Saints are martyrs beings that come back everything they die. The Saints hate crossing the oceans so he will be very angry to have to come back. He will be resurrected in the place where they were martyred so probably somewhere in the old world. He probably knows enough about what happened.

Don Gregorio is worried. We mention that he thinks Don Gregorio is part of a cult. Don Gregorio asks who murdered the saint. We tell him that it was someone who had the same teachings as Don Gregorio. We ask him if he has had any success proselytizing his ideas. He claims he is teaching as close to the holy books as possible. Don Gregorio did come to the island because they wouldn’t listen to his word in the island. His belief system is Syncretism. He identifies the volcano god with the holy fire of the lord up high. He didn’t come up with this, some people in the city showed him the ways. This happened in the capital. He wanted to spread this belief so he left. He wasn’t aware of the church following him but he might have stirred some people. He is still in the church because he claims he is teaching the holy word.

Why would a saint bother with him? Punx asks. He says that it’s because an inquisition would start with members of the clergy to purify from within. What would St Sebastian do to Don Gregorio? He is not sure, but he himself wouldn’t send a Saint across the sea unless to do something drastic. Saints are not puppets and they will have their own desires and righteous purpose.

The Eternal Flame is the base Carolingian religion which has saints and is similar to the catholic religion. The divergent cult faith is that old moa is the one god and all goods are parts of it. Don Gregorio says that there is proof of this because all origins of humanity comes from this island. All gods are manifestations of the same God.

Punx asks about where did Don Gregorio learn this. Don Gregorio talks about old scholars in the city that spread the word. All of this is pointless because a Saint was killed by a Syncretist. Don Gregorio thinks that now they will send an army.

Punx wonders if the people who set Goda up to the task, would they know that Saints regenerate? They probably did, so they knew this would happened that it would be bad.

Punx wants Don Gregorio to go the capital and face the music. Don Gregorio says that Saints are pretty much invulnerable on land but they are the weakest on sea. The only faction that Don Gregorio thinks can benefit are the celestials, the Dragons. Who have landed on the island. The villagers have been spotting them. They have a camp in the north. They are mobilizing and cutting large swaths of woods.

Oro has come to grab us to the feast and party. Drinks are plenty and everyone is having a good time. The Contessa is enjoying herself. She is happy talking about herself.

We hear shouts outside the village. There are alarms and enemies at the gates. We see through the clearing, the boggarts are moving being headed by Lilypad. Ryuto addresses the Boggart group.

The Boggarts say: “The dragons, they killed them all”.
