A hunt for pirates leads through the charity hospital, the slums, and into the theatrical world of the Mink.

Our ship is manned by Boggarts but with captain Jackdoe. There was a ship that was attacked by pirates close to the capital at Pirate’s cove.

We are planning some ideas on how to assault a pirate ship.

Here’s the plan:

Acquire barrels with a false bottom - 4x
1. We pay 15g to keep the secret
2. We pay 40g for 4 barrels. Only one of them can be opened from the inside, the small one. The other 3 large ones can not be opened.
Acquire 3.5 units of tea to put in the barrels.
Pachinko crafts a perfect keg of black powder (spoiler: it was not actually perfect).
Oona is learning about the pirate ship we’re looking for.
1. She almost gets fleeced by an old guy by the dock.
Leave barrels in water when we see the ship.

We try to gather some information:

Pako has no ships under his command
- The prince famously doesn’t do anything
Pirates have been more aggressive recently
- Normally they happen out in the water
Ryuto is making connections with the harbomaster
- The last pirate attack in recent history, when a sailor came in a dinghy from the Titan. A month back, they were assaulted when traveling through the islands. Usually where the pirates hang. The sailor should be recovering at the charity hospital. His name was Tad.
- Pirates have been more aggressive.

We go to the charity hospital and it’s a depressing sight. So many orphans and hurt people from capitalism. Tad is there and is doing well and recovering. They were attacked suddenly and fast. He is lying about the contents of his ship for insurance purposes. The attack was so sudden that they could barely respond, they were sunk so quickly.

Blakely Joe, from the ship, the Swiftie. Mostly accidents, sometimes from the farm. Sailors have their own surgeons from the ships. They treat people from the Pirate’s Cove, if they come from the Mink, they treat them with no questions asked. They steal things that no one will miss.

There’s a run on tea for unknown reasons.

Pachinko goes to the slums for information. Some of them are missing. Not all of them like me. Some of the boys have been listening to pamphlets. There’s a brochure that says, “if you are sick of working for the man, if you believe in Moa Toa for Moa Torians, if you remember the old gods, then you should approach a certain alleway at Desk, and speak the codeword”.

Mr Dib, the sausage in the bun guy outside the canteen. We hinted the chant, and he gave us a new pamphlet for the next meeting.

The next meeting is tonight at the Diagonally Alley. We’re going to meet the people at Diagonally, outside of Square Lane. We approach the stinky alley. There are crates that look suspiciously human sized. There’s also people not sleeping on the floor. The crate is surprised to be knocked on.

The man in the crate is surprised to see us, they usually look for kids down on their luck. We hear the other sleeping hobbos are waking up and crowding us.

We are blindfolded and taken to a nearby cellar where someone approaches us and remove the blindfolds. A very dramatic feature from the shadows talks to us. A very theatrical figure talks to us, the Mink.

The Mink does not think we’re true revolutionaries. He believes we have enough money to continue living the bougie life. Ryuto is doing the buttering up of the Mink to convince him he is a genius. We’re almost convincing him and he will give us a test to prove we’re worthy.

We have a mission to destroy the cannery. They let us go. We’re led up the stairs and blindfolded again. We get spun and taken back to the alley. We keep the blindfolds for a minute.

We’re in Diagonally again and we know exactly where the hideout was.

The house where the hideout is, is owned by Hansel the Weasel the Bard. He is known for his comedic roles.
